OneOneFour Productions Support: Bespoke Resourcing; OneOneFour Productions was hired by Whalefilm as a partner to build a team capable of taking on the production elements of this multi agency, 1M sq. ft. outdoor space to be loaded in over 11 days with a union crew that swelled to a team of over 250 team members. We brought on a team of tried and true professionals that managed labor, all of the pre-pro and planning logistics around five different fabrication vendors, staging and scaffolding, graphics and fabric, AV and staging suppliers, furniture and tenting, just to name a few! We managed the overall budget as well as the production schedule and timing from pre-pro through on-site execution.

Project Scope : To design an implement a creative system for all four Block brands to be able to own their own portion of the “blocks” while still maintaining creative cohesion throughout. Whalefilm conceptualized a scaffolding system that would outline and create the footprint for each block while designing builds and furniture plans that accomplish the clients goal. Each brand also had options for customizing their blocks if they wished, so modular designs and maximum flexibility were needed from a design perspective. Whalefilm was also scoped to project manage the entirety of this outdoor space in terms of logistics and timing to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Summary: We created a festival style outdoor space for Blocks 8000 employees to celebrate them turning 16 years old over three days. Each block for their brands; CashApp, Square, Bitkey, Afterpay and Tidal had their own dedicated sections, or blocks dedicated to their brand and their programming. There were multiple stages for speakers and performances, even a fully functioning tattoo shop, as well as quiet spaces for yoga, social areas for networking and of course meal tents to keep everyone fueled up.
